Our Roots

Newport Dove has its roots in a local youth outreach and has been established since 1980. We’re a cell group-based church. This means our focus is connecting and building relationships in small groups instead of focusing on a large service. Our church membership is found in those who are part of a home cell group.

What We Believe

We believe it is fundamental that each believer be empowered to fulfill the Great Commission, which is effectively out-worked through our home cell groups. We believe accountability with the larger body of Christ is essential. Locally, we are a member of the Manheim Ministerium Association and a partner church with DCFI (DOVE Christian Fellowship International), an apostolic network of cell-based churches throughout the world. Our preaching and teaching adheres to the Lausaune Covenant, and theologically have an evangelical – charismatic emphasis.

Doctrine Statement of Faith

Our 12 Core Values

Our Motto

Knowing the King and Advancing the Kingdom

Our Vision

To build a relationship with Jesus, with one another, and to reach the world from house to house, city to city, nation to nation. We desire to see each person fulfilling their God-given destiny. Our church has what we affectionately term a “momma and papa” anointing. This simply means new churches have been “birthed” from us, the parent church. Our vision is to continue to birth many new churches and ministries. Growth is released as we plant new churches. Our desire is to reach into the far corners of the world.

Training & Equipping

Our goal is to see each person fully utilizing their God-given gifts and talents. Our training is multi-faceted and we believe it is vital for our leaders to be investing and imparting into others. We place an emphasis on training and encouraging leaders. We believe spiritual parenting (mentoring) is an important part of training. It’s essential to allow room for people to learn and grow – and make mistakes in the learning process. We feel it’s important to give people second chances. As in a child learning to walk, they naturally fall down. The child gets up and tries again and soon is walking successfully.
